Prompts 32, 52, 82-Marauders Era: James
Request: 32, 52, 82 for james??? tysm i love your writing !!!!
A/N: Once again, I apologise for how long I’m taking with these! Exams are coming up, as well as competition season, so I am currently a ball of stress. I’m trying to get them done whenever I can, and I’m sorry for the wait!
- 32. “I’m so stupid to make the mistake of falling in love with my best friend.”
52. “I’ve been in love with you my entire life.” - 82. “When you love someone, you just don’t stop. Ever. Even when people roll their eyes or call you crazy… even then. Specially then!”
“No offense, but you can’t really expect Y/N to fall hopelessly in love with you if she doesn’t even know how you feel, can you, Prongs?” Remus’ voice of reason irked James to no end as he sneaked another glance at the y/h/c haired girl, her nose buried in a leather bound book, one he knew wasn’t part of assigned reading.
“But it’s always like that, isn’t it?” Remus continued, still making too much sense for James to be paying attention. He didn’t want to be realistic right now. He wanted to stare at the way rays of sunshine sneaked their way onto her cheek, and the furrowing of her brows in concentration as she turned page after page.
“…When you love someone, you just don’t stop. Ever. Even when people roll their eyes or call you crazy… even then. Specially then… James, are you even listening?”
“Mhm,” the dark haired boy mumbled in response, eyes still lingering on Y/N. She had now flipped a page of her book, her eyes almost landing on his, prompting him to look away and finally pay attention to his friend.
“You’re an idiot, you know that?” Remus stated, a small smirk playing on his lips despite the annoyance in his voice.
“I know. I’m just so stupid to make the mistake of falling in love with my best friend.” James buried his face in his arms, folded on the desk in front of him. A groan escaped from the slumped figure.
